IuteCredit supports financial literacy in Moldova

IuteCredit Moldova supports improving financial literacy in Moldova. We are a proud partner of this year’s campaign “Generation of Financial Intelligence”, aiming to strengthen children’s knowledge of money management from an early age.

The campaign, which was launched in March, is part of the financial education program “Population Financial Education Campaign”, which began in 2019. “Compared to the previous years’ campaigns, the current one is even more challenging and poses more responsibility as we are focusing on the financial skills and habits of pupils. Children need financial education from the start of their school years to grow up to be a generation of financially responsible adults,” commented Lilian Guzun, CEO of IuteCredit Moldova.

The campaign provides a series of tools designed to train children aged 7-18 in the financial field – a series of animated videos on financial issues, interviews with adolescents, recommendations for parents on how to educate their children to have adequate money management skills and last but not least – the digitization of the high school program “My Finances”, developed by the Ministry of Education in partnership with Junior Achievement Moldova and USAID, which makes the teaching material accessible from any phone, laptop, PC or tablet to all schools nationwide.

The campaign is carried out in cooperation with the Moldovan Ministry of Education, Culture, and Research, the National Agency for Consumers Protection and Market Surveillance, the most influential lobbying body – American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova and an NGO Junior Achievement Moldova, which is a member of JA Worldwide – the largest and most dynamic international organization oriented to economic and entrepreneurial education.
